I was walking through Costco this week and came across a deal that seriously stopped me in my tracks.
Costco is currently selling the Jackery Explorer 1500 v2. And the price is honestly hard to believe.
Here’s What You’re Getting
The Explorer 1500 v2 comes packed with solid mid-to-high tier specs:
- 1536Wh battery capacity
- 2000W AC output
- 4000W surge power
- 3 AC outlets
- Dual USB-C fast-charge ports
- Weight: 32 pounds
This makes it a strong option for:
- Home backup during outages
- RV trips
- Overlanding
- Emergency preparedness
- Running power tools or kitchen appliances
With 1536Wh of capacity and a 2000W inverter, you can run things like refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, power tools, and more. As long as you manage your total wattage.
The Crazy Part: The Price
Costco has this bundle marked down to $599.
And here’s what makes it even more interesting:
- On Jackery’s official website, the Explorer 1500 v2 alone (no solar panel included) is listed for $999 (although at the moment of writing this, they’ve marked it down to $700).
- They’re not currently offering this model through Amazon.
- Costco’s bundle also includes a 100W solar panel.
So for $599, you’re getting:
- The power station
- A solar panel
- Costco’s return policy
That’s a substantial discount compared to buying direct.
Who This Deal Is Best For
At this price, this is especially compelling if:
- You’ve been waiting for a solid 1500Wh class unit under $700
- You want something reliable for hurricane season or emergency prep
- You prefer buying from Costco for peace of mind
- You’ve been eyeing Jackery but didn’t want to pay full MSRP
Final Thoughts
Deals like this don’t usually sit around forever. Especially when they’re this far below retail.
If you’re in the market for a mid-capacity portable power station with solid output and included solar charging, this one is absolutely worth checking your local Costco for.
If you end up snagging one, let me know. I’m curious how many of you find it in stock for that price!
